Not as impressive as ice blocking, but still note-worthy.

These are the bruises I got on my thighs from helping my unprepared landlord haul the hillbilly refrigerator out of his pick-up truck. It pretty much fell off of the tailgate onto my legs, and the thought of cold milk was all that kept me from dropping it. Had I known what the fridge looked like on the inside, I would have let it hit the asphalt and felt good about it.

Here's a tip people: Refrigerators are heavy. Bring some man-type people with you when you need to move one.

  1. Aaaahhh!!!!! Okay, you told me you had bruises from the fridge, but that is just crazy!
Was your landlord even holding on to the thing? Sheesh!

  2. Oh, man! Now you really wish you had let it drop!! Maybe you should just go in the kitchen right now and remove a couple of essential parts, then call him up and say, "That 'brand new' fridge just stopped working! Maybe something happened to it when you dropped it on me..." Voila! Another new fridge!

  3. OUCH!
I am so sorry you did not let the thing just hit the road and fall in to a bizillion pieces. Oh, I guess the duct tape in the freezer would have kept it together!
    So sorry.
I'm with Erin, remove something from the back and tell him it is not working either.

  4. Yeah-ditto. Next time he can move the confounded dangdable stupid worthless piece of crap stinky nasty duct taped rednecked smelly fridge all by himself! You pay to much rent to have to help him do that ever again.
Maybe you should show him those bruises!
