S. E. #11 - Happy Comes From...

Self Exploration is a weekly post where I pose a question that is meant to make you look at yourself more deeply or in a new light. Your job is to leave a comment in response to the question. You may always do so anonymously if that gives you more liberty to be honest. You may also post your answer on your own blog, but leave a link to it in the comments here so I can go take a look! Now your assignment for this week:

Tell me five little things that make you happy!

Here are five of my favorite things:

I Love the corner pieces in a pan of brownies. Corners are the best.

I love Dr. Pepper. Morning, noon, and night.

Trent loves it, too.

I love peeking in on my kids after they've gone to sleep. They look so sweet and innocent when they're sleeping. Of course, they aren't. So it's good to go in when they're knocked out so I can try to convince myself that they are worth keeping.

I love watching weird movies with Andrew. Such as Little Miss Sunshine. It was awesome.

I love my collection of candles. I can always find one to suit my mood, and they're great for masking the smell of the turd that someone has in their pants.

Your turn!

    3. Folding clean warm laundry directly from the dryer.

  3. I'll thumb wrestle you for the corner pieces of those brownies! Favorite!
    Here are my five...
    1. A day spent on the water. I don't want to hustle around, just stop the boat, crack open an icy beverage and float, preferably while listening to good music and having entertaining conversation.
    2. Getting up before everyone else in the house and having a few minutes of quiet.
    3. Porch swings. What's not to love?
    4. Playing with pictures, I love snapping them, editing them, looking at them, scrapbooking them, writing about them. I love them!
    5. I love seeing things through my kids eyes. They put such a fantastic spin on things, and I love it!

  4. Craig likes the corners (goes for pizza crust, too), so I gladly take the insides.

I switch between Dr.Pepper and Pibb...pretty similar, right?

I love watching the the video monitors, and I'm also happy if we're taking home food instead of me cooking.
