Nope - not talking about my belly fat. Well, maybe down the list a little. Today, I am taking Mama Kat's writing prompt #2, what are your confessions?, and putting it into a list. I know you all love it when I overshare, so here goes... Oh! And thanks to Liz for inspiring the list format. I wasn't going to do this until she reminded me of the joy of lists.
1. I'm still not registered to vote. And if you're really smart, you'll deduce that I must not have voted in this last election. Yeah. That's kinda bad. However - I live in Utah - the one state where your vote really doesn't count. Majority will take you down or make you one of their numbers - either way...it just goes the way it goes. When we move to Oregon in a few weeks, I really will register. For real.
2. I agree with Jill on this issue.
3. I have, on two occasions now, used a diaper to do the doo. Yes, in my adult years. Sometimes, you have to get creative.
4. I finally watched Avatar the other night, and while I thought it was a good movie, it wasn't SO FREAKING GOOD I HAVE TO SEE IT THREE TIMES IN THE THEATER!! Nope. It was good, but I don't get all the hype. I suppose it's because I didn't bother to see it on the big screen.
5. If you're wondering what kind of movies really get me excited, I'll give you an example. Little Miss Sunshine. Anyone seen it? It's hard to make me laugh out loud. This movie scored.
6. This morning I had a Vanilla Coke for breakfast. I may follow that up with Cocoa Krispies.
7. I have a drawer in my bedroom dresser where I hide all the candy I buy. Sometimes I share with the kids, sometimes I wait until they're in bed to indulge. OK, most of the time I wait until they're in bed.
8. I don't floss very often. I really should though. I'll get on that.
9. About half the blogs I read are written by people who I find to be incredibly dull writers and who's company I know I would never enjoy in real life. Why I read them is probably the same reason that everyone else does - peer pressure. Because all these blogs I'm referring to have at least a few hundred followers.
And don't forget - only two more days to enter the SUPER AWESOME GIVEAWAY! I'm kind of ticked at how good the odds are right now. Fix that, please.
**Edit - I should probably tell you that if you're worried that I think you're one of those boring blogs, you should probably not worry because A) who cares what I think? B) I'm behind on my blog reading - like REALLY behind, so if you haven't gotten a comment from me, it's because of that. Not because I think you're crap. and C) again, who cares what I think?***
Little Miss Sunshine was indeed - awesome. I liked Avatar a lot, but then I also saw the super spiffy 3D version in the theater. Yeah, I'm cool.
ReplyDeleteI love when you talk about poop!
ReplyDeleteDitto on the Avatar & last one.
Avatar's popularity really confused me. I remember thinking the same thing "It's not THAT great...".
ReplyDeleteI didn't register to vote either...mostly because i was so highly annoyed with all the Saturday and Sunday morning calls for my vote, the flyers on my car at church, the incessant calls. "What dang business is it of yours if I plan to vote for you??" Stick it to the man!
A little embarrassed I didn't know you were moving...
And I was scared when I read #9, but I only have 50ish readers so I am excluding myself from that one...haha!
Ditto on Avatar, but my son would die with that movie clutched in his grimy little hands.
ReplyDeleteYou're moving to Oregon?? Wow, big changes ahead! Can't wait to follow your move, and don't forget to pack that candy drawer when the kids aren't around.
1. Moving to Oregon?!
ReplyDelete2. Me too.
3. I'm not sure if I should be repulsed or give respect. I'm leaning towards respect. Did you use a diaper wipe after?
4. I still haven't seen it and I don't want to.
5. Oh. Em. Gee. LOVE that movie. I laughed so hard, it hurt. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jsgqbYzTuk)
6. Vanilla Coke? They still make that?
7. I try to sneak candy too, but D1 can smell it on my breath. I don't have the self control to wait until she's in bed
8. This is far less likely than you registering to vote IMHO
9. Ha! Shows how much you know. I'm even more dull in real life than you could ever imagine.
LOVE Little Miss Sunshine. Never seen Avatar...meh. Not really interested to either.
ReplyDeleteAlso love gopopgo's comment. It had me laughing out loud.
I am now curious as to what blogs you are referring to. Just curious to see if I read them too. I only have 4 subscribers so I KNOW it's not me.
I slept through the majority of Avatar - in the theater. I don't really get it either.
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't it amazing how people with so many followers really aren't all that exciting?
Oh. And I suck at flossing too. And I think my husband secretly judges me.
Well, I LOVED Little Miss Sunshine. But I also liked Avatar... but I'm a big epic movie person. I think that one qualified as an epic... I dunno.
ReplyDeleteI also think some of these blogs are kinda boring.
I promised myself I would read all of them and comment on most... but I'm getting tired.
Yours caught my eye because of the adult diapers... ever thought of a job with NASA?
Thanks for stopping by my blog!! I hope you have a great day! And yes, you do need to get an Elf on the Shelf!
ReplyDeleteWhoa... you're moving back up to Oregon? Where to?
ReplyDeleteAnd I bet I know why... you missed all the rain, didn't you?? Confess, confess!
I am LOVING the title to this post. Loving it. I just gave birth to my second round of kidney stones -- but you already know about all that. :) Soooooo painful. But worse for me was blowing out two discs in my back. I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. It was worse than the stones. Way worse.
ReplyDeleteLoved all your other answers too. I love question Friday. So much fun.
Hey, if you ever want to do a giveaway, let me know. I'd be glad to contribute a pair of earrings!!
