There's nothing like waking up to a fresh blanket of snow. Flakes still falling from the sky and landing in a still silent world. No footprints across the lawn, no tire tracks down the street; just stillness.
There's also nothing like watching four little boys tramp through that snow, messing it all up.
We did a teensy, tiny bit of Christmas shopping today and it gave me terrible anxiety. Once I start I just want to finish. But I'm waiting for Black Friday because I told my sister I would. I hope she appreciates the self-restraint that's costing me.
As for the parents - I think all three of them are going to get Christmas sweaters as punishment for being so hard to buy for. Someone needs to answer that age-old question - What do you get for the person who has everything? Ten points to anyone who can solve that dilemma. Minus ten points if you suggest something I have to make.
Chocolate. I've resorted to Godiva chocolate. Something I'd NEVER buy for myself, but my Mom loves. And she does not have it and it is not some "thing" she has to deal with. And makes a very impressive box! And then you can join their little club that gives you one free chocolate a month when you stop in!
ReplyDeleteOooo...I like the chocolate idea :)
ReplyDeleteBarbies?! LOL! I would just like to see their faces on Christmas morning!
ReplyDeleteBTW, are you going to homeschool after the move?
I liked the post and image both. Well, the chocolate idea is good, but let see will it works or not. lol. :)
