Five Question Friday

Today I'm going back to Mamma M's good ol' Five Question Friday.  I'm not going to link up on her blog, but here's the link to her blog in case you'd like to follow along.  I kinda liked the questions this week, so here we go...

1. If you were going to be stuck on a deserted island, which 5 books, movies, people and foods would you take along?
This one is so easy.
Books:
1. The Winter of Our Discontent, because it's my favorite.
2. A Tale of Two Cities, because then I might actually force myself to get through it.
3. Little Women, because I've never read it and always thought I should.
4. A box set of Roald Dahl books, and yes that counts as 1.
5. Twenties Girl, because it's my favorite no-brainer fun read.

Movies:
1. Finding Neverland
2. Little Miss Sunshine
3. Much Ado About Nothing
4. Moulin Rouge (good to sing and dance along with - an important tool when bored on said island)
5. Disney's Meet the Robinsons.  I can't explain that.

People:
It would be cheating to say that I'd bring my five guys.  So I'll make that against the rules.  Also, I want to say Oprah and four more people who hate Oprah because DANG, would that be fun?  But I won't do that either.  I'm going to say it can't be any family members or friends because this way it's far more interesting.
1.  John Krasinski; he's funny and sarcastic in a way that reminds me of my uncle David, and I always enjoy talking to him.  Also, Mr. Krasinski isn't terrible to look at.
2.  Any person with an English accent because English accents make everything more funny or more civilized, whichever the situation calls for.
3.  Alton Brown because he would know how to feed us all.
4.  Dean Martin to sing to me.  Us.  Whatever.
5.  Ellen Page.  She seems alright, and she might be more crass than me, making me appear to be more ladylike and suchPlus, she's good looking and can be the one to populate the island if such a need arose. I'm kinda done with that nonsense.

Foods:
(Assuming there are fruits and wild game available on the island)
1. Ding Dongs.  I know, they don't exist anymore.  Still counts.
2. Fried chicken.
3. Dr. Pepper
4. Reese's cereal (milk included)
5. Peaches.  Just in case there are none on said island.

2. What is your thought on year round school?
We've done both traditional and year round.  I have to say that it is nice to have several weeks off to break up the school year.  The only way I don't prefer year round is when the elementary schools are year round and the high schools are not.  We gotta have all our kids on the same schedule.  And since no high school or middle/Jr. high school is year-round - traditional wins out.

3. What is your most embarrassing potty story? (Can't be one of your kids' potty stories either!) Hee Hee! This cracks me up and stems from a HILARIOUS twitter conversation...
Honestly - how do you choose?  Please see side-bar label titled "Potty Humor".  One of the most embarrassing, however, happened recently in a Target restroom and would be far too graphic to share.  Suffice it to say that I wouldn't be surprised if they called in forensic specialists after I left.

4. What's the temperature where you are?
Mid-Forties for highs, low thirties for lows...chilly in the bedroom.  Only kidding.  Just seemed too boring a question.

5. Are you a winter/spring/fall/summer person?

I hate the cold, so I'm going to go with anything but winter.  I find fabulous inspiration in all other seasons. Spring is lovely for cleaning, summer is fabulous for outings, fall is great for packing on weight for those long, cold winter months.

Alrighty.  That's all for today.  Have a lovely Friday, World.

I Keep Saying My Farts Don't Stink, But I Don't Think Anyone Believes Me

I suddenly have a part-time job that requires me to be awake at 5:00 in the morning.

I am not a morning person.

Do you ever do that thing where you know you have to be up at a certain time and it's getting late and you tell yourself, "If I go to bed right now and it only takes me three minutes to fall asleep, I will get a solid six hours of sleep provided that no one has a bad dream and crashes on my side of the bed"?

I do.  I do it all the time.  So if I went to bed right now, I would get a solid six and a half hours of sleep.  But instead I decided to blog spew for a bit and then take a shower.  You know - so my stench doesn't give me nightmares.

Mama M's Five Question Friday has pretty decent questions this week, so I think I'll drop some thoughts into those, but I'm not going to link it up with the others because I know I won't have time to read anyone else's.  Part time job, remember?

1. Dream job...realistic and completely unrealistic.  I would kill to be a movie critic.  Not because I'd be good at it, but because I would love to get paid to watch movies on my fat hiney every day.  I suppose I'd have to file that under "completely unrealistic" though...  As for realistic - that just isn't any fun.  And it's kind of an oxy-moron.  I can't think of one.

2. Do you fart in front of your significant other?  Do I ever!!  The first time I farted in front of Andrew I was actually sitting on his lap wearing a moisturizing face mask.  And then he asked me to marry him...so there is your proof that my farts don't stink.

3. What's the furthest you've ever traveled from home? How far and where was it?  Sadly, the furthest from home I've ever been was when I went to New York City/DC last year.  Better than nothin' I guess.

4. How do you celebrate birthdays for your kids?  We tell them that they owe me a back rub for suffering through labor for them, make them draw me a thank you card, and then we watch the video of their birth.  Sure they get a little weirded out by seeing their mother's Hoo-Ha, but how else are they going to fully appreciate what I did to bring them into this world?

I'm only kidding.  No one got near my lady business with a video camera.  Not during labor, anyway.

We have typical birthday rituals.  Except that none of my kids like cake, so we have to come up with alternatives.  Sometimes it's a 3 tiered rice krispie treat cake, and sometimes it's ice cream sandwiches.  Snore.

5. Fave thing about fall?  Full coverage clothing.  I dislike summer wardrobes because I have cankles, a flat chest, and a rather protuberant mid-section, so I welcome the change in weather that allows for the acceptable usage of hoodies and layers.

That about wraps it up for tonight, folks.  I'm off to the shower and then to bed.  And if I only take eight minutes in the shower and fall asleep within ten seconds of my head hitting the pillow, (totally possible), then I'll still be able to cram in 6 hours of sleep.  *Insert squeal of delight here*
'Night All.

5QF

It's been a while since I've felt like myself, but it's coming back little by little.  So I thought I'd do a 5QF just for old times' sake.  Here we go.

1. If you had to choose, how would you prefer to choose to spend money...on landscaping or a pool?
Neither.  If I had that much money, I'd just pay my electric bill.  Hot dang, it's June!  And I still turn my heat on every morning!  Here's a little bit of information for anyone who does not live in the Pacific Northwest:  Wet cold is colder than dry cold.  And it's cold here 345 days a year.

2. Death penalty; yay or nay?
The hubs and I just watched The Green Mile last night.  It's one of my favorite movies because I have that love affair with anything that has to do with prisons or mortuaries.  (Seriously, I don't know why I'm so weird.)  Anyway, in spite of my love for that movie, or maybe because of it, I have to say nay to the death penalty.  But if it helps at all, I'm also saying nay to cable tv, steaks, ability to work towards a college degree, or parole for any low life who harms another human being.  I say lock them in their cell, feed them nothing but the same kind of macaroni and cheese I ate for lunch today, and then make them go to bed at eight o'clock, because if you ask my kids, that's cruel and unusual.

Side note - I didn't give that a whole lot of thought, so don't take me too seriously.

3. What's the worst thing your kid has gotten into when you turned your back/blogged/showered/blinked?

This:
That would be permanent marker on my computer screen.  If anyone needs to know how to get that off, shoot me an e-mail.

4. How often do you REALLY go to the dentist?
Um.  Once every couple of years.  If my bill is paid off from the last time.

5. What is your favorite animal (doesn't have to be a pet-type animal)?
The kind that doesn't poop.  And I know you're thinking, "But Bethany, there is no such animal!"  And to that I say - Exactly.

Thanksgiving Dinner Tips and a 5QF

Can you even believe that Thanksgiving is next week?  I can't.  But I'm excited because my sis and her family are coming from Washington, and the women in my family are all going to give Black Friday a try.  We're Black Friday virgins.  I pulled up some online ads today, just to see what the big deal was, and it gave me anxiety.  I think I might hate the whole thing, but at least I'll be in good company.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, I thought I'd share a couple of pictures from last year.  They include tips.  Yey! Here's tip #1:
If you use freshly ground cinnamon on your cherry pie, it's going to look like pepper and people will think you're nuts.

Tip #2:
If you use all the booze to baste the turkey, you're going to be left with only Dr. Pepper to drink while you cook.  That's my mom, who wouldn't drink booze anyway.  Not when you can put it on turkey.

 Anyway...on to Five Question Friday.
1. What Christmas song do you loathe?
Feliz Freaking Navidad.  The repetition in that song makes me rock back and forth while screaming.  It should be banned from all radio stations.  I can't even think about it anymore.

2. Do you and your significant other cuddle at night or sleep on opposite sides of the bed?
I like a little spooning action for about two minutes and then I need him to get the heck off me because just his arm weighs a hundred pounds and his average body temperature is five thousand degrees.  Love you though, Babe.

3. Have you ever had surgery?
I had a Mitchell Bunionectomy when I was 14.  Yes, I have bunions.  You thought it was an old people disease - right?  Well, it probably is, but I have a lot of old people diseases.  I'm one step away from progeria.  If you don't know what that is, then you need to spend an hour watching the weird shows my nine year old records on the DVR.  Discovery Health is a bad, bad channel for anyone who suffers from hypochondria.

4. When do you typically have your holiday shopping done?
About two weeks before Christmas.  One year I had it all done before Thanksgiving.  It was the only time in my life that I felt like a genuine over-achiever.

5. If money were not an issue (and you HAD to pick something), what would your ultimate luxury item be?
I girlfriend for my man, a really nice camera, or a maid.  Oh, forget it.  A maid all the way because that could double for number one as well.
Link up, people.  It's what all the cool kids are doing.
Or be hip like Pop, and just leave your answers in the comments. I love that even more!

What Doesn't Kill You Comes Out In Your Pee

Hallelujah!, It's Friday!  I'm not sure why that's so exciting to me because my husband works Tuesday through Saturday, so it's not quite the weekend for us yet.  But anyway.  Today is the last day to enter the giveaway for the gorgeous scarf or baby blanket.  Don't forget to do that after you read my life changing responses to Five Question Friday.
1. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you?
Kidney Stones.  For sure.  Worse than labor.  I've passed them twice and the second time I thought I was going to die.  I actually made my husband take me to the emergency room.  When I got there I couldn't walk, talk, think coherently, or pee.  In fact, I hadn't been able to pee for hours and hours, despite the urgency I felt. The nurse asked me for a urine sample, and I mumbled that I'd try...  And for some reason I was able to pee there in the hospital and then I felt completely fine.  Like nothing had gone wrong at all.  And I felt like an idiot because I hadn't even seen a doctor yet.  But then the nurse looked at the urine sample and said, "Oh, yeah.  I can see the stones in there.  They're so big I can see the barbs on them."
And that, good people, is some cool crap.  I felt like Hercules.

2. How much sleep do you get at night?
Not enough, that's for sure.  I usually get about seven hours, but I think I'm the kind of loser who really needs something like ten hours in order to feel like I've slept at all.  I think that's just because of nine and a half years of having kids deprive me of those precious REM moments.

3. How long did you believe in Santa Claus? How did you find out that he does not exist?
I think I was about ten when there was no more trace of magic, but the realization was a gradual one, not a specific moment.  I hope it happens the same way for my kids.

4. What was the last movie you saw in a theater?
The last movie I saw was a double feature at the drive-in: Dinner For Schmucks and Despicable Me. The last movie I saw in a really for real theater was The Lovely Bones. Man, that was forever ago.  But I'm going to go ahead and admit that I'm pretty excited to see Harry Potter in a couple weeks.  We don't go to those movies until they've been out for a while because I don't like crowds or people who clap at the end of a movie.  But I do drive by the theater with my kids a few hours before those big blockbuster movies open so we can check out the weirdos who are dressed like wizards or sparkly vampires.  And then we make fun of them.

5. What do you wear to bed?
Warm-up pants, a t-shirt, and my best impression of a headache.
Now.  Go enter that giveaway!  Only a few hours left, and as of right this moment there are fewer than 25 entries!  That's good odds!

Fly On A Wall

Who doesn't love a little Five Question Friday?  And did Friday sneak up on anyone else?  I don't even know what two of my kids are going to be for Halloween yet.  Lame.

1. If you could be a fly on any wall, which would you choose?
This is tricky because it was my question suggestion, so I feel compelled to answer it.  However...my best answers would unmentionable on this blog because I happen to have told too many people in my real life about the blog.  Dag-nabbit!  So let me think.......

Ok, I got one.  I would love to be a fly on the wall in the White House to see if Michelle Obama has a secret stash of Twinkies.

AND! I would love to be a fly on the backpack of those tattooed people...uh, Nick and Vicki...on this season's Amazing Race.  They are so stupid, they make me laugh out loud every Sunday from 7-8 PM.   OK, that was mean to call them stupid.  How else can I explain it?  Their brains fail them in hilarious ways.  "What's a battlement?  Are you a battlement?"  And then being in Ghana and asking their cab driver to take them to the Arctic Circle.  Laughed until I peed myself.  I love them.

2. Do you budget your Christmas shopping or just get it done without budgeting?
Good hail.  I have to admit that we always count on some kind of miracle to get Christmas paid for.  So far, so good.  We have a set dollar amount for every person we have to buy for, and we keep the list as short as possible.  This year will be extra lean since we have to register our van in December after we buy a new windshield for it, and we have to come up with a way to pay my husband's monstrous and unfair bail forfeiture.  That's a big, fat depressing story all on it's own.  How about we just stop thinking about it now, mmmkay?

3. What is the craziest fad diet you have ever done?
I have never dieted in my entire life.  I've been blessed with fairly decent genes.  The down side to this is that I've become accustomed to eating whatever I want whenever I want, and one day my metabolism will fail me and I'll be screwed.  At that point I plan on licking some cat poop until I get tapeworm or something.  That's a good diet plan right there, folks.

4. Is there a TV show that you have seen every episode/season of?
Lost and Gilmore Girls.  And The Backyardigans.  I can't decide which one of those three is my favorite.

5. What one song always pulls at your heart?
This one:

Just because.  Don't really care for the video all that much, but there ya go.

Time For Five Question Friday

I know I said I'd post about the time I feared for a loved one's safety today...but I didn't get to it.  Eventually.

So let's dig right in for another Five Question Friday, shall we?  Remember, you can answer these questions, too, by clicking on the button or heading to My Little Life.

1. Who is the better cook, you or your spouse?
My husband LOVES to cook.  He always tells me that if he didn't have a family he'd be a chef.  (Crap hours, you know.)  But he does the weirdest things to food.  (No offense honey.)  He made spaghetti sauce the other night and could not stop himself from digging through the spices to add a little something to it.  He picked cayenne pepper.  My mouth was on fire all night.  To be fair - he does make a mean omelet.  And he's not bad with pancakes.  I suppose breakfast is his thing.  But I'm the better cook most of the time. - No contest.

2. How often do you talk to your mom?
Almost every day.  She calls me on her lunch hour or I call her in the evening.  Both my dad and my husband hate it, but there you go.  And we talk about everything.  Sometimes I have to pretend that she's not my mom, and therefore not married to my dad, in order to make it through the conversation without barfing.

3. Are you adventurous in the kitchen or stick to the recipe?
Me - stick to the recipe.  Husband - can't not add something of his own to the recipe.

4. Is your second toe longer than your big toe?
A little bit.  I have really ugly feet.  But so does everyone else. Feet are gross.  I have never had a pedicure because I don't want someone messing with my toes.  Probably need one though.

5. Do you dress up for Halloween? (Bonus question: What will you be this year?)
Sadly, not anymore.  I am a firm believer that Halloween ought to be scary though.  I never went as a princess or anything like that.  Among other things, I have dressed up as an alien, a vampire, a skeleton, a clown with one eyeball hanging out of it's socket, and a hippie...all equally scary.

Me: In A Bad Mood

1. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
You mean, what's my favorite candy that happens to be put in a Halloween wrapper from September through October?  How does one choose a favorite?  No one picks candy corn, right?  I just like candy.  I don't discriminate.  Lately I am partial to Butterfingers though.

2. Do you fold your socks?
Yep - right into my bra cups.

3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?
Um, we've already had this question.  Like two months ago.  Who's filtering these things? Does this mean it's time to stop playing?  Can you tell what kind of mood I'm in today?   In case you'd like to know the answer, you can find it here.

4. What is the most significant difference between you and your significant other?
I have a vagina, he has a penis.  That would be the most significant difference.  Honestly, what's up with these questions today?

5. What are three words you would use to describe yourself? (And, just for fun...if your significant other is around, ask him/her what 3 words they would use to describe you!!)
I say:  rash, compassionate, lazy
Hubs says:  "whatever you think, Babe".

Cheerio!

I'm not sure how you all feel about these Five Question Fridays.  Do you get sick of them?  I'm pretty sure you like them better when I'm more off the cuff and honest.  I'll do my best.  I like to do them because I check out lots of other blogs linked up to the meme, and find some good ones, AND because I'm narcissistic.  Sorry.

If you should feel so inclined, you may join in the fun and link up with Mama M. over at My Little Life to play along.  Here's a handy button for you:

Alright then, on with the show.

1. If you could speak with a different accent, what would it be (i.e Australian, Scottish)?
I think I'd have to go with British.  I have always felt like an English accent makes a person sound smart, even if they are saying stupid things.  Ricky Gervais, hello?  So, if I could pen this blog with a British accent, you'd all think I was a genius!  Anywho - I know that Brits aren't any smarter than other people just because they skip their "r" sounds, but you just go ahead and try to explain that to my subconscious.

2. Can you fall asleep anywhere? (i.e floor, couch, deck)
I was about to say yes, but then there's the deck thrown in there.  What kind of nut jobs sleep on decks?  Only Mama M's hunk of man, that's who.  But as a matter of fact, I hate my mattress so much that sometimes I sleep on the couch.  My silly husband insisted on getting one of those memory foam mattresses, and neither of us like it.  The funny thing is that when there's only one of us on the bed, it's about a hundred times more comfortable.  I don't understand that, but my husband understands that he has forfeited any future rights to be involved in mattress selection.

3. Do you use public restrooms? If so, do you sit on the toilet?
I'm generally a squatter in public restrooms.  I can practically pee standing up, and never so much as a drop on the seat.  But as a general rule, I avoid public restrooms whenever possible.  Especially the ones at Wal-Mart.  And that's tricky because Wal-Mart gives me diarrhea.  It's a weird phenomenon, but I'm sure it happens to other people, too.

4. If you were stuck in an elevator for 24 hours, what celebrity would you most want to be stuck with?
This ones tough - there's so many ways you could go.  How about Ellen DeGeneres to keep you laughing in a stressful situation, or Michael Buble to soothe you with his songs?  But I have to say that after watching The Office tonight - I'd need to be stuck in an elevator with Dwight Shrute, because it's sheer brilliance to establish a pee corner right off the bat.  I mean, that's your basic necessity right there.

5. Where did you & your significant other go on your 1st date?
We went mini-golfing, after which my husband got grounded, (hello?), because he took me on a date before I was technically 16.  We Mormons are serious about our dating rules.

See ya'll again soon!

Don't Put Your Lips On My Can

I know how you all love it when I wait until I'm dopey and exhausted to write up these Five Question Fridays.  Me + Fatigue = Overly honest answers.  And I'm probably way to exhaustion-intoxicated to be doing this, but question #3 was my suggestion, so I kinda have to do it anyway - right?

1. What do you do when you have time to yourself?
Pick my nose, eat the candy I hid from the kids,  (usually before I pick my nose though), read, and back in the day I used to watch The Girls Next Door.  I felt really ashamed about it, but it was like a train wreck that I couldn't take my eyes off of.  That was a mind blowing show.

2. When you look out your kitchen window, what do you see?
The radar towers on top of a mountain that I told my kids is the place where the last dinosaurs on Earth are held, and if you drive up there and get as close to the electric fence as you can, you can hear them roaring inside the towers.  I told them that because it was easier than trying to explain what a radar tower is. And I don't think the fence is actually electric, but the government posted signs there threatening the life of anyone who tries to get too close to the towers.  It only helps my story, really.
Oh, and I also see this kind of thing out my window.  It's nice, too:

3. Who/What would you want to be reincarnated as?
A fly.  Because I would love to sit on the wall of some people's homes who I think are freaks times a hundred and see how much more amusing/stupid/abnormal they are when they think no one is looking.

4. What is your biggest pet peeve about other people's kids?
Oh, man, you should have read the rant I just deleted from this very space.  Let me just say that a child who considers himself an equal to an adult makes me want to remind him of his place.  I know that might sound off, but if you think about it - it'll make sense.

5. Regular or Diet soda?
Regular.  And I had about six cans today, which makes me an official addict.  But in my defense, I didn't finish a one of them because my three year old kept stealing them, and once another person's lips have touched my can, I can't have anything to do with it anymore.

Surely I'll Make Friends With This One

I've hit the wall.  I'm on my second wind.  I had a minor break-down yesterday, but now I'm all revved up and there's no bedtime in sight for me.  So here I am, Thursday night, bloggin' out a Five Question Friday that will surely contain no self-censoring.  I feel like I've snorted a pixie stick, and man, am I jonesin' for a chimichanga.

Here we go!

1. How many pets do you have?  Yeah, like I need that in my life.  In fact, I wrote a post about this pet issue that sums up my feelings in something like 35 quick paragraphs.  You should read it.  No one else did.

2. If you could switch places with anyone in the world for one day, who would it be?  I would switch places with Lindsay Lohan.  And I'd spend the whole day slappin' myself.

3. What is your favorite money saving tip?  Don't marry a metro-sexual clothes-horse.

4. What do you want your kids to be when they grow up?  Well, obviously, I'd like them to be rich and famous so that they can support me in my old age.  But in reality, it would just be nice to have kids who could save you a bundle with their free-services; a doctor, a dentist, a mechanic, and a mortician/make-up artist.  I know, I threw you on that last one.  Mortuaries rock, (as long as you don't have to babysit in one), and I think it would be pretty funny to have my kid do my make-up when I'm dead.  He could paint my eyelids to look like they were open, and it would scare the crap out of everyone at my viewing.  Little kids would have nightmares, people would laugh...it'd be such a great party.

5. What is your favorite quote?
"So shines a good deed in a weary world."  - Mr. Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) 1971

I Look Like Scarlett Johansson. There's Proof!

Five Question Friday.  Let's dive right in, shall we?  (For instructions on how to play along, click on the button above.  Mama M. has a really fun blog, too, so subscribe if you don't already.)

1. Do you have any nicknames and if so how did it come about?
Oh, boy.  My parents used to call me Bessie Cow.  Presumably because my eyes are as big as a cow's.  Rude, I think, but as far as nick-names go in my family, it's mild.  I really don't feel comfortable telling you the other ones.  Oh, but I can tell you (again), that my husband calls me Devil Woman, because he's a huge Adam Sandler fan, (more on that later). Not because I'm actually a horrid wife who he hates, but stays married to for the sake of clean underwear.  I hope.

2. What is your birth order amongst your siblings?
I am the second of four.  And holy shite has that caused some screwed up stuff in my head.  I won't go into it now, because I already told you all about the time I went to a psychiatrist.  I don't want to go there again.  I'm sure if you poke around long enough, you'll find that post.  I have really awesome parents, by the way.  Both of them.  My issues are my own.  I swear I'm not crazy, by the way.  I could totally babysit your kids if you want me to.  I'm making this sound much worse than it is.

3. In a movie of your life, who would play your significant other?

OK, if we're talking about personality, I'd have to say Adam Sandler.  Because he can be completely goofy, make me laugh, and is often really confused.  That's my husband in a nut shell.
But I was wondering who would play Andrew if we were basing the decision completely on looks.  So I went to this website, and depending on the picture I use, Andrew most resembles Rick Schroder and Terrence Howard.  Andrew said that he'd agree with Terrence Howard because he most resembles a black man, but that the website must be able to scan more than just his face to know that.

Ahem.

His quote, not mine.

So, that website is seriously hours of fun, and it's a boost to my self-esteem because it keeps telling me that I look like Scarlet Johansen. It also tells me I look like a variety of men, but we won't count those ones. (I can only imagine the mean comments I could get for this.) The website scans your picture and analyzes your facial features to tell you which celebrity you most resemble.  It does a pretty good job, too.  It will make you sign up, but it's fast and I don't think they send you a bunch of spammy e-mails or anything, because I haven't gotten any.  Go try it, then come tell me who you look like.

4. What is currently your favorite song?

I think my favorite song will always be Arrivederci Roma.  I love the Dean Martin version.  I pretty much love anything from the Big Band era, especially Duke Ellington.

(That's a really long video, but if you listen to just a bit of it, you get the point.)

5. Are you saving your money for anything right now? Big or small purchase?

My husband has a disease that we are saving money for treatment of.  He has to have this really expensive dose of medicine once a year.  Actually, he'd be much better off with constant access to it, but we just can't afford it because it costs about a thousand dollars per dose.

He has salmonfishingitis.  He has to go to Washington every September to get his fix of salmon fishing.  So we have to pay for gas to get out there, food and entertainment while we're there, and therapy when we come back from spending so many days in close contact with his family.

Only kidding!  About the therapy part.

Expensive medicine, no?

Anyway, that's it for Five Question Friday with Mama M!  Be sure to read David's Flick Pick today - he's reviewing a movie I really liked this week. Except it might be more fun when he picks a horrid movie that we can all make fun of.  We'll see.
