I just finished reading Life Laughs by Jenny McCarthy. I cannot even describe how horrible it was. Two chapters into it I wondered what the heck I was doing still reading it, but that's an issue I have. Once started, cannot stop. It was like watching a car accident. You know it's something you don't want to see, but you can't tear your eyes away.
This is one messed up chick. She is such a moron, I can't even decide which one of her issues is more alarming. I understand that she's trying to be funny, but it is just sad from beginning to end. Or, pathetic, rather.
If I could douche my brain after reading this, I would.
I really need to get past my obsessive need to finish books that I start. It's torture sometimes.
Hehehe - sorry! She is a bit messed up isn't she? I've never read that book, but I have to admit that I did get a chuckle or two out of her pregnancy book - Belly Laughs.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that one was funny because there's just too much to make fun of when you're pregnant - how could you go wrong? :)
Um, now I have an uncontrollable urge to read this...
ReplyDeleteI probably should have mentioned, since I'm turning people on to this book, that it is full of smut and foul language. It's 99% about sex and using what you got to get what you want, how horrible men are, how stupid they are, how useless they are, how her body parts look different or the same as her friends'...
ReplyDeleteNot a good read. It's toxic.
Ahh... maybe that's why the pregnancy one wasn't so bad. No sex, no smut, very little about men. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I looked up the table of contents on Amazon... WOW, lol. Her attitude towards men is fascinating considering her career... I've always found her intriguing, the very little I've come across her in the media, because her and her boyfriend, also a really interesting character, Jim Carrey, are Autism advocates because of her son, and my brother's have autism...People!
