What a day, what a day. I am going to pretend that I am not on the verge of some kind of psychotic episode, (I won't even tell you about the grocery shopping experience, or the handful of poop), and just move on to some more highlights. Really need to wrap these up before my readership plummets.
This top ten moment is a little odd, and you might not even understand it if you don't know my husband, so bear with me.
I went five days without seeing my husband wearing ratty t-shirts and basketball shorts!
It's monumental, people.
And there is even proof that Andrew walked around in public dressed completely normally, and even with some appeal, if you ask me. We went shopping for him several weeks ago and I tried to talk him into all kinds of things that he refused to even look at twice, but that's not to say that my persuasions were completely wasted. I did get him into some respectable duds.
Just not at the White House.
But there were other successes...
Lovely brown button up while visiting the grave of his great-grandfather.
Casual polo at Mount Vernon.
Another button-up left undone at Lombardi's. (And no pizza sauce stains! I'm so proud!)
And my personal favorite; layered in red at Central Park.
We're now back to warm-up pants, shorts and t-shirts with VW paraphernalia on them, but it was nice while it lasted.
Next Top Ten Moment...The Lincoln Monument and other National Treasures.
Andrew looks great! And the red striped polo is my favorite too. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a pretty big accomplishment! I took Eric on a similar shopping trip when we were first married. It didn't stick. In fact, up until just a couple of years ago, he was still wearing t-shirts he had worn while we were in high school!!
